Ship Moms Project

An entertaining read that will spill the dirt on what happens below deck with stories of lust, sometimes love, all of which result in a baby!

The Ship Moms Project (working title) is a collection of behind the scenes stories about cruise ship crew members and all the wonderful mixed nationality babies being brought into the world, all around the world. Ship mom’s stories have been collected representing almost 40 countries and 10 cruise lines. The project's selected stories will be compiled into a nonfiction book focusing on the strength of ship moms who made it work, against all odds. Some stories are beautiful and heartwarming while others are complicated and heart-wrenching.

Ship Moms Project was developed in 2017 by a Canadian past crew member and current Executive Director of the Writers' Alliance of Newfoundland and Labrador, Jen Winsor.

Jen is a “Ship Mom” herself conceiving her little boy Gabriel on Royal Caribbean's Enchantment of the Seas in the Bahamas with a Brazilian partner who is 12 years younger than her.

Jen Winsor lives in St. John’s, Newfoundland & Labrador with her little boy Gabriel and her ridiculously good-looking Brazilian partner, Luiz.

She still can’t believe her luck.
